Chicken Cordon Bleu with Butter Lemon Sauce

Sometimes you just need a classic dinner on a cozy Saturday night. This delicious Cordon Bleu is super easy to make, and is best enjoyed with a spoonful of easy butter lemon sauce. 


4 pieces of AlWadi’s Cordon Bleu 

4 tablespoons unsalted butter

3 tablespoons chicken broth (can use chicken cube liquid)

115 grams reduced-fat cream cheese

1 tablespoon lemon zest

2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice (juice of one lemon)

1 teaspoon of fresh parsley


  1. Preheat oven to 350ºF/175ºC
  2. Coat a 9×13-inch baking dish with cooking spray.
  3. Place cordon bleu in prepared baking dish. Bake, uncovered, at 350 degrees F for 25 minutes or until the coating is crispy and golden brown.
  4. For the Butter Lemon Sauce: Melt butter in small saucepan placed over medium-high heat. Add chicken base and whisk to combine. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and add cream cheese, lemon zest and lemon juice and whisk to combine until smooth and creamy. Keep warm. Spoon over chicken when ready to serve.
